This mini-course deals with plane tilings. We first give basic definitions about tilings, and explore the links between tilings and groups of isometries. Then, we will construct static plane tilings (Archimedean tilings) and dynamic plane tilings (monohedral tilings by convex polygons). This last problem is open, and you may find new tilings and new constructions.
